About the Business
The Constantine Group of companies began life in the middle of the 19th century when Joseph Constantine, in partnership with members of his family, acquired shares in a number of sailing ships.
The company expanded and prospered so that by the turn of the century, when sail had given way to steam, the Constantine Group was one of the largest ship owners in the United Kingdom. The following two world wars decimated the fleet and in the late 1940's a policy of diversification was embarked upon, which resulted in a move away from pure shipping into ancillary services such as ship broking, travel, freight forwarding and property investment.
The moving division of Constantine Group now specialises exclusively in the packing, shipping and storage of household effects and fine art throughout the world.
